Melissa
Melissa joined our team in June of 2008. Born in Tuscon, Arizona, Melissa comes to us with 11 years of dental assisting experience. She has one son Dylan (to your right) who believed that clothing was optional at 3 years old. Melissa enjoys camping with Dylan and her partner Juana and is very active in fundraising for the Human Rights Campaign.
Connie
Being a military wife, Connie lived many places before settling in Round Rock in 2001. She enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband, Joe. Connie is also very active in her church activities. After completing the Austin Community College Dental Assisting Program, Connie came to work for us in 2005. She has quickly moved through the ranks and is now Dr. Hollander's chairside assistant. We enjoy her optimistic outlook and her amazing gumbo (perfected as a result of being from Louisiana).
Kathi
With over 37 years of dental experience, Kathi has been a hygienist here for over 9 years. We benefit from her constant positive attitude and extensive knowledge of all areas of dentistry. Kathi attended Stephen F. Austin University and achieved her dental hygiene certification from the University of Texas Hygiene School. She knew that dentistry was in her future after realizing what an impact she could have on others through the dental hygiene profession following positive dental experiences as a child. Kathi enjoys spending her time outside of work with her husband, Dan, her four sons, and her extended family. She is very active in Bible Study and is passionate about exercise and cooking.
Karen
Hailing from Danielson, CT, Karen earned both her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene education and psychology as well as her Associate dental hygiene degree from the University of Bridgeport. She has been associated with the dental field for over 20 years. Karen has been a huge asset to our dental hygiene department since she joined the office in 1993. Her pride and joy is her chihuahua, Chaz. Karen is an avid reader, does volunteer work with animals and enjoys working out.
Vivian
Vivian was born and raised in Houston, TX. After attending Sam Houston State University, she moved to Austin in 1989. She has been in the dental profession for over 20 years and joined our staff as our financial coordinator in 2005. Each February, you can find her volunteering at Rodeo Austin as she has been for the past 17 years. She enjoys country dancing, reading and spending time with her family, including numerous nieces and nephews, in Houston.
Kim
Meet Kim, our resident Canadian. Kim is our office administrator; she joined our dental office in 2004. She compliments our staff with her never ending smile and relaxed nature, not to mention her efficiency. Kim keeps your dental appointments coordinated and helps remind you of your upcoming visits. She moved to Austin in 2000 to attend school at the University of Texas. Our staff attended Kim's wedding to Ronald in February 2007. Kim and Ron enjoy country dancing, football, NASCAR racing, and the rodeo.
Helen
Before becoming full time office manager in 2005, Helen was a hygienist for our office for over 20 years. Originally from Welsh, LA, she earned her Dental Hygiene Certification after attending both Louisiana State University and Lamar Dental Hygiene School. She and her husband, Jerry, relocated to Austin in 1980. Helen is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending her time outside of work on the golf course. Before tackling the game of golf, Helen was ranked #1 in Women's Tennis - 35 Singles in all of Texas in 1992. You must be pretty good to beat Andy Roddick in a game of tennis (although he was only eight years old at the time).
